- Pennsylvania Marriage License Information
- In Pennsylvania marriage licenses are issued at County Courthouses by the Marriage License Clerks. Most counties require both parties to be present at the same time to apply for a marriage license. Parties under 18 must be accompanied by a parent. A few counties do not require both parties to be present at the same time, although both must apply in person. The form will be held until the second person appears to complete the application. Blood tests or physical tests are not required for obtaining a Pennsylvania marriage license.
It is recommended that you apply for your license at least two to three weeks prior to the wedding date. Licenses are valid for 60 days. Find out from your local county clerk what the fee will be and what identification is required.
